With some rising tidals happening throughout the week, let's take a look on what I got so far.

Alternative to Cloudflare Tunnel

I was scrolling though the web just to spend my afternoon around this Tuesday. I was still working on website stuff and around that time, I was hooked about the idea of replacing my Cloudflare Tunnel setup for some apps and websites I host on my desktop to something else. Cloudflare's solution ain't that bad. I use it all the time now. And considering it's free, I can't say anything bad about it.

Unless if you can take a closer look of it, you can see it now. Cloudflare Tunnel obviously will gonna route you and your website to their services. We know that relying too much on certain entity will affect our workflow in one way or another. We have seen some downtime on the big services like them in the last couple months alone. Not to mention that Cloudflare Tunnel only limits the domain that able to be used for each tunnels only for domains that already have been registered under your Cloudflare account. If, let's say, I got a domain from nya.je or dpdns.org, you wouldn't able to do that.

After a bit of searching the web, I found out about PageKite. This is a program to tunnel our localhost to the web securely and it's open source. It can make any kind of thing to be available on the internet without the need of big service like Cloudflare. You will got a subdomain like https://yourname.pagekite.me and you can just use it, or you can make it as a CNAME record from your domain that you want to use. It's free for most people, but you have to renew it on your account every 30 days. But it's more than generous to use the software to tunnel from your computer.

ARG seems to be interesting

Recently, I was hooked into ARG or alternate reality game. I was heard about it for awhile now, since the days I started watching some horror videos on YouTube (even though horror isn't my cup of tea), and obviously, Arknights.

But unlikely so many people, I tried to look at on how to make my own ARG. So I checked this reddit thread title A Short Guide to Making ARGs. No, I'm not going to make one yet. But I always interested on how to make something. I want to look at the process and always be fascinated on it. Maybe I'm going to make one someday? I don't know.
